New York City has a long, rich history with outstanding heavy music, and a new quintet has entered the Rock fray by the name of Kings Bounty.
KB more than ably represents the five gritty boroughs of NYC both musically and lyrically; having been created by (Arsonists/Stillwell) front man Anthony “Q” Quiles, and guitarist Mike Dijan, who has lent his unique playing style to various notable New York hardcore outfits. One should not become too hung-up on the bent of its members’ prior outfits though. Kings Bounty’s approach to its craft – as aggressive as it is tuneful – combines its heaviness with hypnotizing melody, as well as thoughtful lyricism.
With no record label, nor outside financial assistance, Kings Bounty has put in work, both in the studio and on the road; having supported the likes of Korn, Light the Torch, La Coka Nostra, P.O.D., Nuclear Assault, Jonathan Davis and others over the last twelve months alone.
Powered solely by unyielding drive and a love for the music, Kings Bounty is putting the finishing touches on its Chris Collier (Prong, Korn) produced debut EP, Broad Daylight.
